POWERSIL®735
Liquid Silicone Rubber
Characteristics
POWERSIL®735 is a low viscous two-component compound with excellent processing properties. Its vulcanizates are noted for high tracking and arc resistance, their good mechanical properties especially for high tear strength as well as for their excellent dielectrical behaviour.
Special characteristics
• Outstanding dielectrical properties
• High tracking and arc resistance
• Excellent mechanical properties, especially a high tear strength
• Excellent processing due to it`s low viscosity, also with suitable dosing equipement only
Application
• Insulators and cable accessories
• Outdoor and Indoor use
Processing
The A and B components are delivered ready-to-use in 20 l and 200 l drums. With standard metering equipment, the products can be pumped directly from the original containers into the injection molding machine and mixed in a static mixer. The mixing ratio is 1 : 1.
The material fits very well all requirements for manufacturing of large articles with special dosing and metering equipment because of it`s low viscosity.
At room temperature, the mixture of A and B components has a pot life of at least three days.
Storage
POWERSIL®LR 735 has a shelf life of at least 6 months when stored at 23°C in the originally sealed container. The 'Best use before end' date of each batch appears on the product label.
Storage beyond the date specified on the label does not necessarily mean that the product is no longer usable. In this case however, the properties required for the intended use must be checked for quality assurance reasons.
Safety information
Comprehensive instructions are given in the corresponding Material Safety Data Sheets. They are available on request from Wacker subsidiaries.
